After successfully stealing the gold, Luther Sledge and his gang retreat to a remote mountain hideout. However, tensions quickly rise as the members of the gang begin to turn on each other, each wanting a larger share of the loot.
Luther Sledge is at odds with the hot-headed and ambitious Fergus (played by John Marley), who believes he deserves a larger portion of the gold due to his role in the heist. Meanwhile, the cunning and manipulative Hooker (played by Claude Akins) starts to play both sides in order to secure the biggest share for himself.
As the gang's internal conflicts escalate, betrayal and greed lead to violence and bloodshed. Luther Sledge must navigate the treacherous alliances and rivalries within his own gang in order to keep the stolen gold and survive the deadly power struggle.
