A Country Christmas with Madea

Comedy,Drama  United States of America

In A Madea Christmas, Madea (Tyler Perry) is convinced by her friend Eileen (Anna Maria Horsford) to visit her daughter Lacey (Tika Sumpter) in a small rural town for Christmas. Lacey is hesitant about her mother's visit, as she has not yet told her mother that she has married a white man (Eric Lively) and that they have planned to move away from the town.

As Madea and Eileen arrive in the town, they are greeted with a mix of hostility and friendliness and soon find out that there is a big conflict in the town regarding the annual Christmas Jubilee, which Lacey's husband is organizing. The event is meant to bring together the town's racially divided population, but some people are against it, including Lacey's father, Reverend Nathaniel (Larry the Cable Guy).

As Madea tries to diffuse the tensions in the town and help Lacey come clean to her mother about her marriage, she also struggles with her own internal conflicts regarding the true meaning of Christmas and her relationship with God. In the end, Madea's unconventional wisdom and humor help bring the town together and teach everyone the importance of forgiveness and acceptance.

A Madea Christmas is a heartwarming holiday comedy that deals with themes of family, tradition, and overcoming racial divisions.
