In the movie, Allison is still grieving the loss of her husband when she receives the shocking news that he had been leading a double life with another woman and a daughter. The other family, led by the manipulative and unstable Sarah, show up at Allison's doorstep and demand to be a part of her life, claiming that her husband promised them financial support.
Allison struggles to cope with the revelation and tries to keep her distance from the other family, but Sarah becomes increasingly aggressive and violent, making Allison fear for her own and her children's safety. As Sarah's true intentions are revealed, Allison realizes that she is dealing with a dangerous killer who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
