The film A Journal for Jordan portrays the real-life story of Charles Monroe King, played by Michael B. Jordan, who was a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army deployed to Iraq in 2006. Before leaving, he began writing a journal for his infant son, Jordan, filled with lessons, love, and advice to help guide him through life in case he didn't make it back.
