Malcolm's new girlfriend, Megan, has two children named Wyatt and Becky. Malcolm is excited to start a new life with them and move into their dream home, but things start to go wrong quickly. The previous owner of the house, an old woman, was rumored to have practiced black magic and the spirits she summoned have yet to leave the home.
As soon as they move in, strange things start happening around the house, like doors opening and closing on their own, objects moving on their own, and shadows lurking around corners. Malcolm, skeptical at first, becomes increasingly concerned as the activity becomes more and more intense.
Malcolm seeks help from his psychic friend, Father Williams, and his team. After multiple investigations, they conclude that the evil spirit in the house is a demon named Abigail, who has possessed Wyatt to get closer to Malcolm. Wyatt's behavior becomes erratic and Malcolm becomes convinced that they must do something before it's too late.
The group attempts to exorcise the demon, but things quickly go wrong. The demon is too strong and they are unable to remove it from Wyatt's body. With Father Williams' guidance, Malcolm decides to take drastic measures and sacrifice himself to save Wyatt and his family.
In the end, Malcolm's sacrifice leads to the demon's defeat and the family is able to move on from the traumatic experience in peace.
