In A Grandpa for Christmas, Buddy (Ernest Borgnine) is an aging movie-star singer and hoofer who has been out of touch with his family for years. One day, he receives a call from his estranged daughter, who asks him to take care of his 9-year-old granddaughter, Angel (Juliette Goglia), while she goes on a business trip.
Buddy is hesitant at first, but he agrees to take care of Angel. Over time, Buddy and Angel bond, and Buddy starts to rediscover his love for performing. Together, they put on a Christmas show for the residents of the retirement home where Buddy lives.
Throughout the movie, Buddy deals with his past mistakes and the strained relationship with his daughter, while Angel learns more about her grandfather and the importance of family. A Grandpa for Christmas is a heartwarming holiday movie about redemption, forgiveness, and the power of family.
