A Good Woman follows the story of Mrs Stella Erlynne as she tries to start a new life in Italy after fleeing from New York. Despite her mysterious past, Mrs Erlynne quickly becomes a socialite amongst the aristocracy in the Amalfi coast.
One of the prominent figures in the town is Lord Darlington, who becomes infatuated with Mrs Erlynne and starts pursuing her. Meanwhile, Mrs Erlynne befriends a young American woman named Meg Windermere, who is married to a wealthy man named Tuppy.
As the plot unfolds, it is revealed that Tuppy is having an affair with another woman, and Meg becomes suspicious of her husband's actions. Mrs Erlynne gets involved in the situation and tries to help Meg navigate through the complexities of love and betrayals.
Throughout the story, secrets are uncovered, betrayals are revealed, and unexpected relationships develop. A Good Woman explores themes of love, forgiveness, and redemption against the backdrop of high society in the 1930s.
