A Fish Called Wanda is a 1988 comedy film directed by Charles Crichton and produced by Michael Shamberg. The film follows a group of four people who conspire to steal a collection of diamonds from a London jewelry store. The group consists of an American con artist named Wanda (Jamie Lee Curtis), her lover Otto (Kevin Kline) who is a weapons-obsessed sociopath, a stuttering animal lover named Ken (Michael Palin) who is responsible for disposing the body of a witness, and a British barrister named Archie (John Cleese) who is hired to defend the gang.

However, their plan goes awry when Archie double-crosses the gang and decides to keep the diamonds for himself. Chaos ensues as each member of the group tries to outsmart one another to get their hands on the diamonds. In addition, Wanda and Otto's relationship is on the rocks as Wanda begins to develop feelings for Archie.

As the story progresses, more complications arise as a British intelligence agent is brought in to investigate the theft and a series of misunderstandings and mistaken identities lead to a hilarious series of events.

The film was a critical and commercial success, earning multiple award nominations and cementing its place as a classic comedy.
