Outback Nuptial Adventures: Bromance Down Under

Comedy  Australia,United Kingdom

A Few Best Men is a 2011 Australian-British comedy film directed by Stephan Elliott, known for his work on the cult classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. The movie centers around the character of David Locking (played by Xavier Samuel), a young British man who is engaged to Mia Ramme, a wealthy and beautiful Australian woman (played by Laura Brent).

David's three best friends, Tom (Kris Marshall), Graham (Kevin Bishop), and Luke (Tim Draxl), are asked to be his groomsmen and travel to Australia for the wedding. However, things don't go according to plan when they arrive in the small outback town where Mia's family lives.

The first challenge comes when David accidentally kills Mia's prize sheep with his car, setting off a chain of disastrous events that culminate in the groomsmen being accused of drug trafficking, getting into a punch-up with a group of local rednecks, and accidentally blowing up the wedding cake.

Despite their best efforts to save the wedding, which involves some hilarious shenanigans such as stealing a kangaroo and a helicopter ride gone awry, things seem doomed until Mia's father, Jim (Jonathan Biggins), reveals a shocking secret that changes everything.

A Few Best Men is a raunchy comedy that pokes fun at cultural differences, family dynamics, and the challenges of planning a wedding. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Olivia Newton-John as a quirky Australian mother of the bride, and Rebel Wilson as a sassy and sexually liberated local.
