A Dim Valley follows the life of a biologist, Dr. Sage, who lives a reclusive life in the forest with his two graduate students, Zoe and Spencer. Dr. Sage, a curmudgeonly old man, spends most of his days researching and observing the wildlife in the forest.
One day, a group of mysterious backpackers stumble upon their campsite, seeking shelter from a storm. The backpackers, who seem carefree and adventurous, quickly disrupt the peaceful and structured life of Dr. Sage and his students.
As the backpackers settle in, Dr. Sage and his students begin to notice strange and unsettling changes in the forest. The wildlife begins to behave erratically, and plants that were once lush and thriving begin to wither away.
Dr. Sage starts to suspect that the backpackers might have something to do with the sudden changes in the forest, and things take a dark turn as the group's true intentions are revealed. The backpackers are not who they seem, and their presence in the forest threatens the safety of everyone around them.
