A Deadly Obsession is a psychological thriller that follows the life of Suzanne Hollander, a woman haunted by her past. After witnessing her mother kill her father at a young age, Suzanne has struggled with the fear of becoming a criminal like her mother. Despite her fears, Suzanne becomes a prominent professor of psychology at a local university, where she teaches courses on empathy.
During one of her lectures, a former student named Connor returns to campus and begins shooting at students. Suzanne manages to escape, but her life is forever changed when Connor begins stalking her. Connor is a dangerous psychopath who has become obsessed with Suzanne and believes that they are meant to be together. As Suzanne struggles to stay safe and keep her distance from Connor, she begins to question her ability to empathize with others and wonders if that is what has made her a target for his obsession.
As the story progresses, Suzanne works with the authorities to try and catch Connor before he can hurt anyone else. However, she quickly realizes that she is the only one who can truly understand Connor and tries to use that to her advantage. The film is a tense psychological thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
