In A Daughter's Nightmare, the college student named Casey (played by Emily Osment) returns home to visit her mother, Julie (played by Victoria Pratt), who is struggling to cope with the death of her husband. Casey is alarmed to find that Julie has hired a nurse, named Hannah (played by Paulina Gretzky), who seems overly invested in Julie's life.
Casey begins to suspect that Hannah may have malicious intentions towards her mother when she discovers that Hannah has been isolating Julie from her friends and family and manipulating her with medication. As Casey digs deeper into Hannah's past, she uncovers a dark history that reinforces her suspicion that Hannah is a danger to her mother.
As Casey struggles to convince her mother of the danger, she finds herself getting closer to a childhood friend, Sam (played by Paul Johansson), who becomes a partner in her fight to protect Julie. Together, they work to unmask Hannah's true intentions, even as she becomes increasingly aggressive in her pursuit of Julie.
The tension between Casey and Hannah escalates to a dramatic confrontation, leading to a shocking resolution that forces Julie to confront her own vulnerabilities and the importance of the relationships in her life.
