Julie is a young woman who has been living with her single father Peter since her mother passed away. She feels that it's time for her father to move on and find love again, so she creates a profile for him on an online dating website. Peter is initially hesitant, but soon starts communicating with a woman named Alexis.
When Peter meets Alexis in person, he is smitten with her. She is beautiful, smart, funny and seems to have a lot in common with him. They start dating and things seem to be going well. However, Julie soon starts to notice some strange things about Alexis. She always seems to have an excuse for not meeting her in person and avoids taking phone calls.
Julie becomes suspicious and starts doing some investigating. She discovers that Alexis is not who she claims to be and that she has some sinister motives. She tries to warn her father, but he is so in love with Alexis that he refuses to believe anything negative about her.
As the story unfolds, Julie's worst fears are realized when Alexis reveals her true intentions. She has been using Peter to further her own agenda, and now Julie must find a way to stop her before it's too late. The movie is full of twists and turns, as Julie races against time to save her father from a dangerous date.
