Animation,Family,Comedy  United Kingdom

A Close Shave is a claymation film directed by Nick Park, produced by Aardman Animations and released in 1995. It is the third short film in the Wallace and Gromit series.

The film opens with Wallace and Gromit running a business called "Anti-Pesto," a pest control service. They specialize in catching rabbits that are ruining people's gardens. They soon get a new client, Wendolene Ramsbottom, who owns a wool-shop. Wallace quickly falls in love with her and starts visiting her shop frequently, purchasing wool for hobby purposes.

Wendolene's dog, Preston, dislikes Wallace, and it's revealed that he is involved in a sheep-rustling plot with Wendolene's villainous fiancé, a rustler who disguises himself as a robot called the "Knit-o-Matic."

Gromit becomes suspicious of the dog's behavior, and during his investigation, he is framed for the sheep-rustling and arrested. Wallace tries to rescue him but gets captured by the sheep-rustlers too.

With their two human friends in peril, the sheep rally together to help save the day and expose the true identity of the rustlers. The story climaxes with a thrilling chase scene involving Wallace, Gromit, Wendolene, and Preston. In the end, the rustlers are caught and arrested, and Wallace and Wendolene share a romantic moment before the credits roll.

A Close Shave is a beautifully crafted film that captures the unique charm of Wallace and Gromit's world. Its engaging characters, clever plot twists, and thrilling action sequences make it a classic of stop-motion animation.
