A Better Tomorrow III: Love and Death in Saigon is a 1989 Hong Kong action drama film directed by Tsui Hark. It is the second sequel to the 1986 film A Better Tomorrow, and stars Chow Yun-Fat, Anita Mui, and Tony Leung Ka-fai.
The film is set in Saigon during the 1970s, where Mark (Chow Yun-Fat), a young Hong Kong Chinese, arrives in search of a better life. He quickly meets Kit (Anita Mui), a mysterious and alluring woman who draws him into the seedy world of drugs and crime. As they become more involved in Kit's dangerous dealings, their relationship deepens into a tragic love affair.
As the Vietnam War rages on, Kit's past returns to haunt her. She is revealed to be a former enemy spy, and Mark is caught in the middle of a dangerous political intrigue. Ultimately, he must risk everything to protect Kit and the love they share, even as war threatens to destroy everything they hold dear.
