In A Beautiful Place to Die: A Martha's Vineyard Mystery, Jeff Jackson (played by Jesse Metcalfe) is a former detective who is forced into retirement after a tragic incident leaves him traumatized. He moves to Martha's Vineyard to start a new life, hoping to leave his past behind.
