A Baby at Any Cost is a made-for-TV movie that premiered on Lifetime in 2011. The film stars Tamara Braun as the surrogate, Annie Willis, and Gina Holden as the mother, Lisa. The husband, Peter, is played by Matthew Harrison.

The movie opens with Annie, a single, struggling waitress, deciding to become a surrogate for a wealthy couple, Lisa and Peter. The couple's inability to have a child has taken a toll on their marriage, and they see surrogacy as their last hope. Annie agrees to carry their child for $25,000.

As the pregnancy progresses, Annie becomes increasingly attached to the unborn baby. She starts to dream of being part of the couple's suburban life and being the baby's godmother. However, Lisa, who is already struggling with the idea of letting someone else carry her child, becomes increasingly uncomfortable with Annie's attachment.

After Annie is asked to back off, she begins to poison Lisa. She puts a fertility drug in Lisa's coffee, causing her to become ill and miss work. As a result, Peter has to stay home to take care of her, and Annie has more opportunities to be around them.

When Lisa's doctor suspects foul play, he runs some tests and discovers the drugs in her system. Lisa confronts Annie, who denies any involvement. However, Peter starts to piece together the truth and confronts Annie. Before he can tell Lisa, Annie takes the baby and flees.

The couple hires a private investigator who ultimately finds Annie hiding out in a motel. In a dramatic finale, Lisa confronts Annie and is able to get her baby back. Annie is ultimately arrested and charged with attempted murder.

The film explores themes of surrogacy, motherhood, and the lengths some will go to have a child. It also highlights the importance of trust and communication in relationships.
