In 8MM 2, the diplomat David Huxley and his fiancée Tish have just moved to Budapest, Hungary, when they receive a package containing a sex tape of them with a prostitute. The tape was filmed in a private club known for its illegal and extreme sexual practices, so David and Tish begin an investigation to find out who is behind the blackmail.
Their search leads them deep into the seedy world of sex, drugs, and pornography in Budapest, where they encounter a variety of dangerous and unsavory characters. Along the way, David begins to question his own morality and values, and he finds himself drawn into the same dark world that he was trying to escape from.
