The 7th Secret is a thriller drama film that tells the story of a young wife named Emily (played by Claire Forlani), who is hiding a dark secret from her husband, Greg (played by Greg Grunberg). Emily is consumed by guilt and fear, and she becomes caught up in a web of lies and deceit that threatens to unravel her life.
Emily's secret involves a traumatic event from her past that she has kept hidden from everyone, including her husband. When she runs into her old friend Ally (played by Odette Annable), who is now a successful writer, she sees an opportunity to confide in someone and finally get some relief from her constant anxiety.
Ally encourages Emily to write her story down and offers to help her publish it, but Emily's fear of being exposed keeps her from going through with it. Meanwhile, Emily's double life becomes more complicated when she starts an affair with a local bartender (played by James Frain), who turns out to have his own secrets.
As her lies start to catch up to her, Emily must confront her past and come clean to her husband before it's too late. The 7th Secret is a suspenseful thriller that explores the consequences of keeping secrets and the lengths people will go to protect themselves.
