War  United States of America,United Kingdom

633 Squadron is a 1964 war movie directed by Walter Grauman. The film is based on a novel by the same name written by Frederick E. Smith. The movie stars Cliff Robertson as Lieutenant Bergman and George Chakiris as Squadron Leader Roy Grant.

The film is set during World War II and follows the mission of the RAF's 633 Squadron to destroy a German V-2 rocket fuel plant located in Norway. The mission is critical as the V-2 rockets are being used to devastate London.

Squadron Leader Grant and his team of pilots are tasked with flying their aging and vulnerable Mosquito aircraft into the narrow fjord and dropping bombs to trigger a landslide that will bury the fuel plant. The mission is dangerous and requires precision flying as they navigate between anti-aircraft guns and volcanic mountains.

As the squadron faces multiple challenges, including weather conditions and the loss of one of their pilots, they push through and eventually reach the target. In a thrilling airborne sequence, they drop their bombs, and the cliff above the fuel plant collapses, destroying it completely.

The film is known for its stunning aerial photography and rousing musical score by Ron Goodwin. It also highlights the bravery and camaraderie of the RAF pilots during World War II.
