The story follows Nat (played by Christopher Walken), a seasoned con man who lives on a tight budget of "five dollars a day." The revelation leads the two men to Las Vegas, where they attempt to rectify their past mistakes and start a new chapter in their relationship.
Overall, $5 a Day is a heartwarming tale about the power of forgiveness, redemption, and the father-son relationship. The film is filled with quirky humor, clever cons, and excellent performances by Walken and Nivola.
