44 Inch Chest is a 2009 crime-drama film directed by Malcolm Venville. Ray Winstone plays the lead character, Colin, who is devastated by his wife's affair. Fueled by anger and heartbreak, Colin's friends Kid (Tom Wilkinson), Meredith (Ian McShane), Archie (John Hurt), Mal (Stephen Dillane), and Old Man Peanut (Joanne Whalley) decide to take matters into their own hands.

The group kidnaps the man, a young waiter named Loverboy (Melvil Poupaud), and locks him in a room in an abandoned building. They plan to make him confess to his wrongdoing and ultimately let Colin exact his revenge however he sees fit.

As the night wears on and tensions rise, the men begin to turn on each other and reveal their own hidden secrets and vulnerabilities. Meanwhile, Loverboy remains cool and collected, refusing to submit to their demands.

The film explores themes of masculinity, loyalty, and revenge. The characters grapple with their conflicting emotions as they try to define what it means to be a man and what actions can be justified in the name of love and loyalty.

Overall, 44 Inch Chest is a dark and intense character study that showcases the talents of its all-star British cast.
