In 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, Stella Olemaun (played by Kiele Sanchez) is haunted by the memory of her husband Eben (Josh Hartnett), who sacrificed himself to save her from a group of bloodthirsty vampires in Barrow, Alaska. Determined to seek revenge, she writes a book about her experience and embarks on a tour to promote it.
However, Stella's ulterior motive is to lure out the remaining vampires and take them down. She is aided in her quest by a group of vampire hunters - led by a man named Dane (Ben Cotton) - who believe that the vampires are planning a larger-scale attack in Los Angeles.
The group sets out to find Lilith (Mia Kirshner), the leader of the vampire coven, who they believe is responsible for Eben's death. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including a traitor in their midst, and must fight off the vampires' attempts to stop them.
In the climactic battle, Stella faces off against Lilith in a brutal fight to the death. In the end, Stella emerges victorious and avenges her husband's death, but not without losing some of her own humanity in the process. The film ends with Stella accepting her new role as a vampire hunter and pledging to continue the fight against the undead.
