J Kimball, a Hollywood actor, is preparing for an upcoming role playing an elderly person. In order to research the role, he decides to spend some time at The Coconuts convalescent home. However, upon his arrival, J is met with some unexpected challenges.
The residents of the home are anything but the feeble, weak, and boring people J was expecting. Instead, they are a lively group of seniors with a penchant for playing pranks. J finds himself the victim of these pranks and begins to realize that his preconceived notions about aging may not be accurate in today's world.
Determined to win the respect of the seniors, J enlists the help of his Hollywood friends to turn the tables. However, their attempts to prank the seniors only serve to escalate the situation into more chaos and mayhem.
Throughout the course of the film, J learns valuable lessons about aging and the importance of respecting and honoring older adults. In the end, he realizes that the seniors at The Coconuts are not just characters to be studied for his acting role, but rather complex individuals with valuable life experiences and wisdom.
