The film is a sequel to the 2003 movie "House of 1000 Corpses" and its 2005 follow-up "The Devil's Rejects," both of which were directed by horror icon Rob Zombie. The story picks up after the events of the previous film, with the surviving members of the Firefly family - Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) - on trial for their crimes. They are all found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
However, their nightmare is far from over. Baby is soon transferred to a new institution, where she is brutally attacked by a group of fellow inmates. This prompts Otis and Spaulding to hatch a plan to break her out, enlisting the help of Otis' estranged half-brother, Wilson (Richard Brake). Together, the four of them embark on a bloody rampage, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
The film has been described as a "gruesome and unapologetically violent horror movie," with Rob Zombie's signature blend of dark humor, eccentric characters, and brutal violence. Along with the returning cast, the film also features new additions such as Emilio Rivera, Danny Trejo, and Richard Edson. It was released in 2019 to mixed reviews, with some fans praising its nostalgic callback to Zombie's earlier work, while others found it to be a disappointing rehash of old material.
