20,000 Days on Earth is a 2014 British semi-fictionalized documentary film about musician and songwriter Nick Cave. Directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the film follows Cave as he embarks on a fictionalized day in his life.
Throughout the film, Cave reflects on his career and personal life, discussing his creative process, his relationships with his bandmates and family, and his struggles with addiction and loss. Along the way, he visits a therapist, collaborates with longtime musical partner Warren Ellis, and rehearses for a concert at the Sydney Opera House.
