2 Guns is a 2013 American action-comedy directed by Baltasar Kormรกkur, adapted from the comic book series of the same name by Steven Grant. The film stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as two undercover agents who are forced to go on the run together after they are betrayed during a drug-smuggling operation.

Washington plays Bobby Trench, a DEA agent who has been working undercover for over a year to infiltrate the drug empire of a Mexican cartel kingpin named Papi Greco (Edward James Olmos). Wahlberg plays Michael Stigman, a Naval Intelligence officer who has also been working undercover to gather evidence against Greco's organization.

However, unknown to each other, Trench and Stigman are both planning to steal $3 million from Greco's safehouse in Mexico. However, when they arrive, they find not only the money, but also incriminating evidence that implicates them as being in league with each other.

Realizing that they have been set up, Trench and Stigman reluctantly team up to clear their names and take down the people who have betrayed them. Along the way, they must navigate a web of corrupt DEA agents, crooked Navy officials, and deadly assassins hired by the Mexican cartel.

As they race to stay one step ahead of their enemies, Trench and Stigman develop a bond of trust and friendship despite their initial mistrust of each other. The film blends intense action sequences with moments of humor and witty banter between the two leads.

2 Guns was a commercial success, grossing over $131 million worldwide, and was generally well-received by critics for its entertaining blend of action and comedy, as well as for the chemistry between Washington and Wahlberg.
