15 Février 1839 is a Canadian historical drama film directed by Pierre Falardeau, released in 2001. The film is based on the true story of the Patriotes Rebellion in Lower Canada (now Quebec) in 1837-1838.

The film portrays the lives of five Patriotes rebels: Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier, Charles Hindelang, François-Marie-Thomas Chevalier De Lorimier, Pierre-Rémi Narbonne, and Amable Daunais, who are all sentenced to death by hanging for their roles in the rebellion.

The movie follows the last 24 hours of these men's lives as they come to terms with their imminent execution. The condemned men are visited by their loved ones and fellow rebels, each of whom brings messages of hope, courage, and justice. With their execution looming, the men spend their final hours discussing their beliefs, the reasons for their rebellion, and their love for their country.

Despite their fear and sadness, the rebels march towards the scaffold with dignity and pride, knowing that they are dying for a just cause. The film explores themes of political oppression, courage, and sacrifice, and highlights the struggles of the Patriots to gain independence and freedom for their people.

The film was praised for its impressive cinematography and powerful performances by the cast, particularly Michel Forget as De Lorimier and Luc Picard as Hindelang. It is considered a classic of Canadian cinema and a symbol of Quebec nationalism.
