The protagonist of the movie, Will Taylor, is a kind-hearted man who always tries to help others, even when he doesn't have much himself. He lives in a small town and works odd jobs to make ends meet. One day, he discovers that he has won a small fortune in a lottery.
Rather than spending the money on himself, Will decides to play secret Santa to the residents of his town. He starts anonymously giving gifts to people who are in need, such as blankets, food, and clothes. As the days go by, more and more people come to rely on him for their daily needs, and Will finds himself becoming more and more invested in his new role as Secret Santa.
However, there is one person who is not pleased with Will's actions, and that is the town's mayor. He feels threatened by Will's popularity and decides to put a stop to his charitable efforts. The mayor's daughter, Samantha, however, is a different story. She sees the good in what Will is doing and starts to help him out in secret.
As they work together to bring joy to the people of the town, Will and Samantha start to fall in love. However, complications arise when Will's true identity is revealed, and the mayor tries to discredit him. In the end, though, the town rallies around Will, and he and Samantha are able to be together, spreading joy and kindness to the people of their small town for many years to come.
