10th & Wolf is a crime drama film released in 2006, directed by Robert Moresco and starring James Marsden, Giovanni Ribisi, Brad Renfro, and Brian Dennehy. The movie revolves around Tommy Santoro (Marsden), a former street tough who returns to his Philadelphia home after serving in the military in Iraq. Tommy had joined the army to escape his troubled past and to avoid getting involved with the local organized crime syndicate led by Lorenzo Council (Dennehy).
However, upon his return, Tommy finds himself pulled back into the criminal underworld when his younger brother, Vincent (Renfro), gets involved with Council's gang. Tommy tries to protect Vincent from the dangers of organized crime, but he ends up crossing paths with Council's enforcer, Joey (Ribisi), who sees Tommy as a threat to the gang's operations.
Tommy's loyalty is tested when he is offered a job by Council, who promises to help Vincent get out of trouble in exchange for Tommy's services. Tommy must navigate the dangerous world of the mob while also dealing with his PTSD from his time in Iraq.
As the tension between Tommy and Council mounts, the two face off in a violent confrontation that leaves them both reeling. In the end, Tommy must decide whether to continue fighting against Council and risk his life and those of his loved ones or take Council's offer and betray his ideals.
10th & Wolf is a gritty and intense crime drama that portrays the complexities and dangers of organized crime and the constant struggle to break free from its grip.
