The movie follows the story of Carlo, a stay-at-home dad who is left to take care of his three children by himself while his wife, Giulia, goes on a much-needed vacation. Carlo is confident that he can handle everything on his own, but he soon realizes that taking care of the kids, managing the household, and dealing with unexpected problems is more difficult than he ever imagined.
Things begin to unravel quickly as soon as Giulia leaves. The kids, aged 14, 10, and 8, all have their own unique challenges that Carlo must navigate, including teenage angst, sibling rivalry, and potty training. As he struggles to keep up with their demands, he also has to contend with his own personal issues, including keeping his career as a radio speaker afloat and battling his own insecurities as a father.
To make matters worse, Giulia has chosen to travel to Argentina, which means she is completely out of reach. The time difference also means that communication is limited, and Carlo is forced to fend for himself.
As the days go by, Carlo becomes more and more overwhelmed, and his parenting skills are put to the test. He makes some questionable choices along the way, including going out on a date while one of his kids is sick and hiring a cleaning lady who steals from him.
Despite the chaos, Carlo manages to pull through and eventually realizes that he is capable of being a good father. The movie is a hilarious and heartwarming reminder that parenthood can be challenging, but family always comes first.
