"009-1: The End of the Beginning" is a Japanese live-action movie based on the classic manga series by Shotaro Ishinomori. The movie celebrates the 75th anniversary of Ishinomori's birth and marks the first-ever live-action adaptation of the iconic spy heroine series.
The movie follows the story of 009-1, a cyborg spy working for the Western Bloc's Intelligence Agency in a futuristic Cold War-era world. Her latest mission involves retrieving a powerful weapon called the "Pluto File" from the hands of her enemies, the Eastern Bloc's Intelligence Agency.
As 009-1 goes deeper into her mission, she uncovers a dark conspiracy that threatens to destabilize the balance of power between the two Blocs. With her cyborg powers and advanced weaponry, she must fight against her enemies and uncover the truth before it's too late.
The movie stars Mayuko Iwasa as 009-1, with Minehiro Kinomoto, Nao Nagasawa, Mao Ichimichi, and Aya Sugimoto in supporting roles. The movie was directed by Koichi Sakamoto and produced by Ishinomori Productions and Sedic International.
