The protagonist of the story is a young Native American boy named Jake, who lives on a reservation with his family. Their community has been plagued by meth dealers who are causing harm to the people and land. In desperation to protect his family and community, Jake decides to resurrect an ancient demon known as a Windigo, believing it will help drive the dealers away.
However, once the Windigo is summoned, its bloodlust proves to be uncontrollable and it begins causing chaos and destruction. Jake and his family quickly realize they have made a grave mistake in bringing such a dangerous being into their lives.
As the Windigo's power grows stronger, Jake and his family must find a way to break the curse and banish the demon before they become its next victims. Along the way, they must confront their own fears and past traumas, as well as the consequences of dabbling with dark forces.
The story delves into themes of redemption, family bonds, and the consequences of seeking power at any cost. Ultimately, Jake and his family must come together to confront the evil they have unleashed and find a way to overcome it before it's too late.
